Systems Thinker building intelligent AI-driven software systems
Hello, I'm Dhanunjaya. I am a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET-2) with experience building automation frameworks, testing scalable SaaS platforms, and designing reliable testing infrastructure. I enjoy understanding how complex systems behave — not just finding bugs, but improving how software is built, tested, and released. My work focuses on automation architecture, system reliability, and building testing systems that help teams move faster with confidence. Recently, I have been expanding my focus toward AI-powered software systems, exploring areas like retrieval-augmented systems, agent workflows, and intelligent automation. I am particularly interested in how AI can integrate into software architectures to create smarter and more autonomous systems. Location: Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India
My journey into software started from a different field.
I graduated in Aeronautical Engineering from Hindustan University in Chennai in 2020. During my studies I developed a strong interest in how complex systems work and how engineering principles translate into real-world applications.
In 2023, I began my career in software as a QA intern. That opportunity quickly evolved into a full-time role where I transitioned from manual testing into QA automation. Working in a fast-paced startup SaaS environment gave me exposure to real product challenges — evolving requirements, rapid releases, and the need to maintain quality while moving quickly.
Over the next two and a half years, I worked across multiple teams and took ownership of automation frameworks, test architecture, and release quality. The startup environment required me to operate independently, coordinate with developers and product teams, and ensure that releases remained stable and reliable.
Today, I work as an SDET-2 at Interview Kickstart, continuing to build automation systems and improve testing infrastructure while deepening my understanding of modern software systems and AI-driven engineering approaches.
My long-term interest lies in combining software architecture with AI to build intelligent systems that improve how software is developed, tested, and operated.
SproutsAI (Startup) Began my career in the software industry as an intern working on NLP-related tasks. This role introduced me to practical software development workflows, collaboration with engineering teams, and working with real-world product environments.
SproutsAI (Startup) Transitioned into a QA role where I focused on understanding product behavior, user workflows, and system edge cases. Designed and executed test scenarios, validated features across releases, and collaborated closely with developers to identify and reproduce defects. This phase helped me build a strong foundation in product thinking, risk-based testing, and understanding how complex SaaS systems behave in production environments.
SproutsAI (Startup) Moved into QA automation and began building and maintaining automation frameworks for web and API testing. Worked with Python, Playwright, Pytest, and API testing tools to automate critical workflows and strengthen regression testing. In the startup environment I worked closely with developers, product teams, and release processes, contributing to: automation framework design CI/CD integration improving test stability and execution efficiency supporting reliable and faster releases This phase significantly strengthened my understanding of software systems, automation architecture, and engineering collaboration.
Interview Kickstart Currently working as an SDET-2 focusing on improving automation infrastructure, strengthening test architecture, and ensuring product reliability. Alongside my QA responsibilities, I am actively exploring modern software engineering directions including AI-assisted development, LLM systems, and intelligent automation. My long-term focus is on understanding how AI can integrate into software architecture to build smarter and more autonomous systems.
